From Concept To Completion

Clean Hull Docking Chambers have been designed with two key elements in mind: durability and ease of use. The concept of isolating a boat’s hull to prevent bottom fouling has been around for years. VersaDock has perfected this simple concept in an elegant and universal design with models that will accommodate boats from 18 to 36 feet.

Here is How it Works

By isolating the water in contact with the boat’s hull water flow is restricted and nutrition sources are cut off. Barnacles, mussels and the like are filtration feeders; without water flow, they can not grow. No additives are needed to prevent marine life growth. However, to prevent algae and weed growth, simply add some fresh water or pool chlorine to keep your hull perfectly clean.

Easy to Install and Use

Clean Hull Docking Chambers are made with a heavy-duty inflation collar, which incorporates an outside rub guard for added protection and they feature a reliable and easy to use air gate system that can be raised and lowered in seconds. An undershield is suspended beneath the boat to create the isolation chamber. Just drive the boat in and raise the gate to isolate the boat’s hull. The inflation collar also acts as a bumper that protects your boat’s hull above the water line.

 

Boat Hull Isolation

When the chamber is full of water and the rear gate is up, the undershield creates a swimming pool like environment that your boat floats in. The PVC material used for the undershield in negatively buoyant and remains below the water, which allows you to glide your boat in. The undershield is also completely sealed and water impervious which prevents the exchange of water. Because of this, not only will it keep your hull clean it will also reduce the potential of electrolysis and protect your boat from fuel spills and other debris.

Operating the Gate

The rear gate has a separate air bladder that is connected to an air line with a valve on the end that you keep on the dock. To lower the gate, simply open the valve and the gate sinks down. To raise the gate, simply attach the pump, inflate the gate bladder and the gate rises above the waterline to isolate the water inside.
A foot pump is provided as standard equipment with each unit. The air bladder in the gate can be inflated to raise the gate in around 10 strokes of the foot pump. An optional 12 volt inflator is also available. This rugged pump is equipped with a self–contained sealed gel cell battery and comes complete with a “cigarette lighter” style charger and various adaptors that can be used to inflate a variety of items.

Perfect for Many Types of Boats

Clean Hull Docking Chambers accommodate a wide variety of boats from runabouts to cruisers to deep-V’s, deck boats, catamarans, and pontoons as well as shallow draft and swing keel sailboats. Each model will accommodate single or twin outboards and stern drives as well as inboard boats. Models are available for boats ranging in size from 18 to 36 feet.
