Looking for a Surveyor?...
Navtech US Surveyors member surveys have been accepted by all major banks, insurance companies, and agents including but not limited to CIT Group, Essex, BoatU.S., Major National and International Banks, West Marine and USAA, Reliance, Travelers, and more... Contact headquarters for further references. The hallmark of a good surveyor is avoiding "conflict of interest." US Surveyors pride themselves on high ethical standards. Your insurance company or bank cannot force you to use any particular surveyor. Our suggestion to the public is to select three surveyors and comparison shop. Beware of companies that want to force you to use certain surveyors. These surveyors may have had to pay to be on this list either through discounts, kickbacks or providing boilerplate surveys and false information to speed your deal. A list name or organization does not guarantee competence and in most states forcing you to use recommended or "only" surveyors is illegal. US Surveyors stand ready to serve and follow a required Code of Ethics.

William W. King Jr
Master Marine Surveyor
In addition to my 30 years experience in the Marine manufacturing industry building yachts up to 65’ and being a project manager and production manager for the manufacturing of production yachts from 28 to 36’ with Albin Marine. I was regularly called upon to appraise trade in and used boats for the manufacturers and dealers that I was involved with on a daily basis.
I personally have owned over 20 boats and have lived aboard 4 different types of boats from a 27’ Albin Sailboat, a 42' Gibson houseboat to a 1962 47’ Trumpy.
I currently hold a USCG Captains License, and have actively delivered vessels from Maine to St. Croix over the last 25 years from 5 gross tons to 65 gross tons.
I have performed duties as electrician, Electronics installer, and I have rigged new boats with all equipment necessary for the end user to use as part of my Service and repair company.
I am also HVAC trained and EPA approved technician # 0477671077200 for the purpose of repair and replacement of any Freon based air conditioning systems.
I have been performing the duties of a marine surveyor for over 20 years, but it was not until 2007 that I became certified and approved by U S Surveyors Association. My number is: 501407K and listed on the U S Surveyors Association web site.
I also enjoy membership in ABYC (American boat and yacht council) a professional organization specializing in boat and yacht construction standards, and continue to remain abreast of industry changes through the membership of ABYC and continuing education with Navtech Surveyors Association.
